we chose to use aluminum jars for splash salve because aluminum is very kind to the environment: no plastic, infinitely recyclable, and very light to ship, giving it a smaller carbon footprint than, say, glass.

but aluminum jars are susceptible to denting, and your jar may arrive with a small dent here and there. this does not impact formula performance or experience. we feel that imperfections in appearance are a small price to pay for being kinder to the environment.

however! while small dents around the body of the container are acceptable, if your jar arrives dented around the lid or rim, making it difficult to close, let us know and we’re happy to send you a new one.
